Practicing the idea of the “just right challenge” is very important
in the field of occupational therapy. As practitioners, we must be aware that all
of our clients are unique. One therapeutic related activity might bring pleasure
to one client and frustration to another. In addition, it is idea to provide
the appropriate grade for those activities. Knowing how difficult or easy to grade an occupation
related activity is essential for our clients! This leads to a more efficient intervention
phase within the OT process. A balance is created for the needs of what the
client wants to do and the specificity of that client.
